CPD points are awarded following engagement in a CPD activity. Many professional bodies (e.g., Social Work England), require professionals to partake in a certain amount of CPD each year (e.g., 30 hours). Typically CPD points are measured through the duration spent engaging in the CPD activity. For example, an online course with a two-hour duration would be considered as 2 points, or a 8-week course accounting of 2 hours per week would be 16 CPD points. If you accredit a CPD activity, the CPD points will be listed on the logo.
